Sula

This project is of a take in designing a book cover for an existing book written by Toni Morrison, Sula. The book tells a story of two girls that have been going through a series of adventure and tragedy in the early 20th century. For research, I read the synopsis of the story of what it is, then looked at previous covers, and then came up with some sketches, using the style of cubism to later design a use of the word Sula, and use each letter to form the background in a various colors of red. The red is to represent the rose, used often in the book. The result came a very sophisticated and interesting concept come to life, which was the start of my rise in becoming a graphic designer.
